On social media, video of a fighter jet being attacked has gone viral. While sharing the video users claim that “#BREAKING: Iran attacks Israel”.
Fact Check
During the investigation, DFRAC found that the claim was baseless. We found a similar video on YouTube channel of ‘Compared comparison’ uploaded on 12 April 2021 with the description “ArmA 3 – C-RAM in Action shoots Low Flying Fighter Jets – Low Close Flyby – CRAM – Simulation”
Furthermore, we also looked Arma3, we found that it is an open world tactical shooter simulation video game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive exclusively through the Steam distribution platform.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral video is from a Video game and not related to Iran—Israel conflicts. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
