Misleading claim of killing Indian Army personnel in J & K's Kishtwar goes viral

The state turned UT has rocked once again due to gunbattles and encounters. Notably, it will witness the first phase of the assembly legislative elections on 18 September 2024 after the abrogation of Article 370. Ahead of this, some pak-based handles took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that 11 Indian Army personnel including a Captain & JCO, had been killed by militants in Kishtwar, J & K.

A Pak-based account with the username @DI313_ posted an image on X and wrote: “Breaking: “11Army personnels, including a Captain & JCO , have been neutralized by Kashmiri freedøm fighters in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir”
