Amid this, news has recently emerged on social medai platform X (formerly Twitter) claiming an Indian CRPF inspector had been killed after Kashmiri fighters attacked a joint party of the force and SOG in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. Multiple other soldiers also got injured.

To investigate the above-shared claim, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google and found some latest reports from The New Indian Express, The Economic Times and NDTV revealing that a CRPF inspector was killed during an exchange of fire with infiltrators in Chill area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. However, none of the reports cited that multiple other soldiers also got injured in this attack.

It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that only a CRPF inspector was killed in this terrorist attack but the claim stating that Multiple soldiers were injured is completely fake
