Fact Check: Digitally Altered video shared as Indian Cement Company’s Ad

A video is shared widely, showing a plane in which a jingle from an ad by Indian company Nagarjuna Cement can be heard with an animation of an aircraft bouncing off a building. This video has been widely shared by social media users where they are claiming it to be from India.

Following this, multiple other users have shared the video with a similar claim.

Fact Check

We investigated the viral video. In the video, Nagarjuna Cement, an Indian company, with its logo and jingle can be noticed. Thus we searched for the original video and found it posted on Youtube. The video was found on the official channel of Youtube of Nagarjuna Cement with the headline ” Nagarjuna Cement Anthem featuring Brand Ambassador Varun Tej. Our Strength is your Trust!!”. On close inspection, we didn’t find any visuals of aircraft bouncing back from the building in the original advertisement. Below, we provide you with the link to the original video ad.

Furthermore, the jingle from the original ad was added to the altered video along with other visuals. Thus, we find the claimed video as digitally altered.

Conclusion

Thus, from the Fact Check, it is clear that the viral video is Fake and Digitally Altered. The Nagarjuna cement company has not produced such an ad.
