After the recent India-Pakistan T20 cricket match where India defeated Pakistan by six runs, a video of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is doing rounds on  the Internet showing her getting furious with someone. The video has been shared by a pak-based handle on X with the claim that she became very angry when a DaIit Hindu was seated beside her.

Pak-based handle namely @PSYWAROPS shared this video on X and wrote: “During the lndia vs Pakistan match, Anushka Sharma, wife of cricketer Virat KohIi, reportedIy became very angry when a DaIit Hindu was seated bes!de her. This inc!dent has sparked controversy and accusat!ons of caste-based discr!mination in lndia.”

Fact-Check

For the investigation of the claim made through the viral video, the DFRAC team did keyword search and came across some latest reports from Republic TV, apblive, The Times of India and The Economic Times.We thoroughly examined these reports and found that “Dalit Hindu” did not appear in their content.

As per reports, the actress can be seen animatedly talking to a man in VIP stands, appearing agitated as she pointed towards something behind them. However, it’s unclear what exactly made the actress so furious.

Apparently, actress Anushka Sharma did not lose her cool over a Dalit Hindu as claimed with the viral video.

Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral video of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma getting furious with someone has been misleadingly shared by pak-based handle on X. In reality, there was no mention of any Dalit Hindu in the latest reports.
