A video is doing rounds on social media platforms showing some visuals of a ship billowing a few plumes of smoke in the middle of sea. Several users have shared this video with captions like an Israeli ship has been targeted by Yemeni Armed forces in the Arabian sea.
An account with the username @HuseyinAli21 shared this video on X(Twitter) and wrote: ‘Images of the Zionist Israeli ship (MSC ALEXANDRA), which was targeted by the Yemeni armed forces with a large number of ballistic missiles in the Arabian Sea yesterday” (Translated from Turkish)
Additionally, numerous shared this video and made similar claims.
Fact-Check
Upon reverse-searching the key frames generated from the viral video, the DFRAC team found some reports from the year 2022.

According to CNN’s report dated March 3, 2023, The Felicity Ace cargo ship, carrying luxury cars including Audis, Porsches, Bentleys and Lamborghinis, caught fire while sailing through the Atlantic Ocean and sank. The ship caught fire on February 16 and all crew members escaped.
Furthermore, reports from Sky News Arabicand IEN also stated similar facts in the context of the above viral video.

It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral video shared with the claim that Yemeni Armed Forces targeted an Israeli ship in Arabian Sea is misleading as the video dates back to 2022 showing a cargo ship carrying luxurious Cars.
