Fact-Check

The DFRAC team investigated the viral news by searching some keywords on Google in the context of viral news. Meanwhile, we found a tweet by Flight Trader 24 revealing: “Some erroneous reports previously stated Iranian airspace was closed. Flights continue to operate to/from/through Iran. Per NOTAM, Tehran FIR is closed only to VFR traffic (aircraft operating at lower altitudes, generally without the direction of ATC) as of earlier in the day Wednesday through Saturday at 17:30 UTC”
