Tensions are rising between Israel and Iran. Israel is preparing to deal with possible missile or drone attacks from Iran following the killing this week in an airstrike of senior Revolutionary Guard commanders in Syria.
Amidst the tensions, a video is shared with massive convoys on the internet. Users while sharing the video are claiming “ Israeli sources said the Israeli army was moving its long-range missiles, preparing for potential retaliatory strikes from #Iran”
Multiple other users were also found sharing the same video and linking it to Israel and Iran’s rising tensions.
Fact Check
We used some keyframes from the video to investigate the reality. We reverse-searched the keyframes on Google. During the process, we found a similar video on Almarsad Online, an Arabic News platform. The headline of the article read, “ Video: Giant trucks transporting ballistic missiles to the border with Lebanon”. The article explains that the video shows huge convoys of trucks transporting ballistic missiles from the Israeli interior towards the border with Lebanon, with an explanation of the film in Hebrew writing.
Conclusion
Thus, the video is of the movement of ballistic missiles to the Lebanon border by Israeli forces. It is not related to the Israel – Iran dispute.
