Fact Check

Upon investigation, however, via reverse image search from the snippets of the video, DFRAC found that the video shows Protests against the far-right Alternative for Germany party (AfD).
We found a report by Al Jazeera dated Jan 21, 2024. The report mentioned that , “Protests against the far-right Alternative for Germany party (AfD) are gaining momentum in the European Union nation in the wake of a report that two senior party members joined a November meeting in Berlin, where planned mass deportation of citizens of foreign origin was discussed.”

Al Jazeera

Few other sources show protesters with banners that read “Nazis, no thank you”, “It feels like 1933, AfD ban now!” and more.

Guardian

An “undisclosed” meeting near Berlin, with a proposal of deporting millions of immigrants and refugees, including some with German citizenship is what triggered this mass agitation.

The news of protests spread widely through Germany, only a few months before three significant regional elections in eastern Germany.

Conclusion
