To see this historical moment, all state governments should declare 22 January as a government holiday. So that all Hindus can watch live telecast on TV. Jai Jai Shri Ram”(Translated to English)
Furthermore, other users also shared this video and made similar claims.
Fact-Check
To determine the reality of the above viral video, the DFRAC team observed this video minutely and found ‘Swarved Mahamandir’ written in the viral video. After this, we conducted a keyword search on YouTube which led us to various videos of Mahamandir, similar to the above viral video. According to videos uploaded on YouTube, Swarved Mahamandir is located in Varanasi.
Additionally, we also found several media reports stating that 25 thousand Kundiya Mahayagya was performed in Swarved Mahamandir located in Varanasi. As per Aajtak’s media report, PM Modi inaugurated this temple on Dec 18, 2023, where CM Yogi was also present with him.
On a related note, according to a media report by Amar Ujala published on December 19, 2023, 25 thousand Kundiya Swarveda Gyan Mahayagya organized on the 100th anniversary of Vihangam Yoga Sant Samaj in the courtyard of Swarveda Mahamandir Dham Umrahan concluded on Tuesday. In this Mahayagya, lakhs of devotees and disciples from India and abroad made offerings in the Yagya Kund.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral video is not from Ayodhya, but from the Swaraveda Mahamandir in Varanasi, where 25 thousand Kundiya Mahayagya was performed.
Therefore the claims of social media users are misleading.
