To verify the authenticity of the above viral news, the DFRAC team searched some keywords in this context and found some media reports from the news websites People Dispatch and DW News.

Saudi Arabia not part of the coalition yet

According to a media report by DW News, Saudi Arabia has led a military coalition against the Houthis in Yemen’s civil war since 2015. The oil-rich country has recently been trying to extricate itself from that conflict, which is more or less stalemate, and has been involved in peace talks.

In addition to that, another media report by People Dispatch reported that Saudi Arabia and the UAE, two major powers in the region and close US allies, have been so far reluctant to join the US-led coalition fearing larger regional and domestic repercussions.
