Are Zionists Destroying Palestine Streets Now?
Misinformation and False news about the Israel and Hamas Conflict have been proliferating on social media platforms ever since the conflict began. We came across one such video going viral on social media site X(Twitter) showing a bulldozer destroying a road. Social media users are fervently sharing this video and claiming that Zionists have started destroying Palestinian streets now.
User who posted this video
A user named Pelham posted a video on X(Twitter) and wrote: “The Zionists are destroying literally everything so it becomes unliveable”

The video has garnered more than 5 million views on X(Twitter).
Furthermore, we found that the video was shared by another user Jackson Hinkle who sustains around 2 million followers on X(Twitter), with the caption: “The Zionists are even destroying Palestinian streets now!”

Fact-Check
To determine the reality of the above viral video, the DFRAC team converted this video into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. We found this video on YouTube.

We found the same video on the YouTube channel of btselem.org. The caption of the video reads: “Israeli military again destroys roads to Masafer Yatta communities and water pipe serving one”. Moreover, the video was uploaded two years ago.
Media report of Btselem
Following this, we also found a media report dated 16 June 2021 on the website of btselem.org (The Israel Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Terrorities). As per the media report, around 8.00 am, Israeli soldiers came with a D9 bulldozer and destroyed 500 meters 500-meter-long section of the road along with a water pipe in the Masafer Yatta area in South Hebron Hills.
Further, it was mentioned: “The military has blocked the roads leading to She’b al-Batum several times, the last of which was in March 2020, but the residents removed the roadblocks. Blocking roads and destroying pipelines is part of Israel’s routine harassment of Palestinian communities in the South Hebron Hills, and in Masafer Yatta in particular, in its bid to expel them from the area and their homes”.
Conclusion
It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-Check that the viral video claiming Zionists are even destroying Palestinian streets now is misleading as the video is from June 2021, not the recent one. Therefore, the claim of social media users is false.
