A video of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot is going viral on social media. By sharing this video it is being claimed that a Congress rally was organized in Malpura, Tonk. In this rally, when Ashok Gehlot was delivering a speech, people present there raised slogans of Modi-Modi, due to which Ashok Gehlot got furious.
On X(Twitter), the video has been shared by several users including Abhimanyu Sharma, Anand Ramesh Valmiki, and Anand Shanker.
To verify the authenticity of the viral video, the DFRAC team converted it into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. We found a live video on Ashok Gehlot’s Official YouTube channel. Its caption read: “Live: Live telecast of “Congress Guarantee Rally” from Malpura (Tonk)”
The viral video can be watched at the duration of 2:10 to 2:30 minutes. In this video, some party workers sloganeered before Ashok Gehlot, who responded by silencing them but Modi-Modi slogans cannot be heard in this video.
It is clear from DFRAC’s Fact-check that the viral video has been edited and Modi-Modi slogans were digitally added to it. No such slogans were raised in the original video.
Therefore, the claim of social media users is fake.
