A verified X user named Girraj Sharma shared a video and wrote “Ashok Gehlot supporting Amritpal, who dreams of Khalistan
#Party who hate Indians.
Congress, Congress, Congress” (translated into English)
Other social media users claim
This video was also shared by another user. A verified user named Chandan Mishra while sharing the video wrote “Ashok Gehlot promoting Khalistan ideology. Amritpal is saying accurately Gehlot Sahab. All the Indians you should also become accurate while giving vote.”(translated into English)
Fact Check
To know the truth behind the video, the DFRAC team searched some keywords related to Ashok Gehlot’s statement. During the process, we found one video report of Dainik Bhaskar in which we can hear Ashok Gehlot’s full statement.
Apart from this, we found another report by Jagran, the report says that Gehlot
Addresses to division-level workers conference and said, “A new name has emerged in Punjab, Amritpal Singh. Amritpal says that if Mohan Bhagwat and Narendra Modi can talk about Hindu Rashtra, then why shouldn’t I talk about Khalistan? Look at his audacity.
