He wrote the caption,” This man lost ₹ 7.5 crore because of the fake propaganda of the BJP. Mahakaal corridor was built by Congress leader Kamalnath Ji during his tenure as CM but due to constant lies and fake propaganda that it was built by Modi & Shivraj Singh Chauhan, this man chose that option and lost. Be aware of BJP lies, Malware is dangerous.”
Other users were also found to share the video with the viral claim.
Fact Check
To investigate the viral claim, we first checked the full video of the Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) show, telecasted on the official channel, Sony Pictures Entertainment India. We found the full video of the show. In the video at 1:11:51 time interval, it can be seen that the host, Amitabh Bachchan asks the contestant, “Which British Army unit was given the motto ‘Primus in Indis’ because it was the first to serve in India?”
The question is completely different from the one claimed in the viral video.
Furthermore, on closely examining the video, we also found that the lips movement of Amitabh Bachchan were not synchronised with the audio of the viral video.
The audio for the question starts at 0:12 sec but Amitabh Bachchan starts to speak at 0:14 sec. Thus it seems to be an altered one.
Conclusion
Hence, From the factcheck it is evident that the video shared by @shaandelhite, @MeedasSahoo and other users is misleading. It is an altered video with no synchronization in the lip movement. The actual question was about the motto of the British Army unit.
