Social media has been flooded with photos and videos with the claims of Manipur violence after the video of two kuki women being paraded naked by the mob and gang-raped in the field went viral. One of the viral videos shows a yelling woman attempting to hit the cops with rods and leading them to flee. Users on social media are claiming that a separate team of naked women has formed to protest against the police in Manipur.
A user by the name of Kesariya Meenu tweeted the video and wrote: “Hey Scoundrel, and when he himself roams in the streets with his private part then what ,,??? should Pappu’s lizard answer ,,, see what your sister is doing at that place ,, In Manipur, a separate team of naked women has been formed to protest against the police, they are chasing the police naked, that means imagine what kind of conspiracy is going on there and the spoons are dancing here #कुकी_समुदाय @AmitShah @NSAGov @NIA_India”.

Another user by the name of Prakash Gupta# Mai- Bhi-Sawarkar tweeted the video and claimed: “Reality of Manipur Reality of Manipur Reality of Manipur In Manipur, a separate team of naked women has been formed to protest against the police, that is, they are chasing the police naked, that means, imagine what kind of conspiracy is going on there and spoons are dancing here. #मणिपुर @AshwiniUpadhyay @SushantBSinha”.

To know the reality of this viral video, the Dfrac team converted it into some keyframes and then reverse-searched it on Google. Meanwhile, the team found something in a tweet done by the user named Yes We Exist on May 15, 2023.
Yes We Exist tweeted three videos and a photo along with a caption: “Sonu Kinnar, a trans person, won the election for chairperson of Nagar Palika Parishad in Chandauli (UP). The administration had maliciously declared the BJP candidate as winner to which Sonu’s supporters protested and ensured that their victory was not taken away by the BJP”.

Jitendra Verma Jeetu, a member of the Samajwadi Party also shared this video on May 16, 2023 and wrote: “#उत्तर_प्रदेश Sonu Kinnar had won the election in Municipal Council Mughalsarai of district Chandauli by 834 votes, yet the administration declared BJP candidate Malti Devi as the winner by 138 votes. Eunuchs got re-counting done in their own way, in which Sonu Kinnar won again by 440 votes”.
