Fact-Check

To know the reality of this viral video, the Dfrac’s team converted this video into some keyframes and then reverse-searched it on Google. Meanwhile, we found news published on Daily Pakistan Urdu website on June 11, 2021, with the headline “50-year-old Pakistani Maulana married a modern girl for the fourth time”.

It can be seen in this news that this is the same couple whose video is getting viral with the claim: “Pakistani girl married her own father”.

An 11 minutes interview is uploaded on Youtube by the news website. In the interview, the reporter says that this is Aamir Khan’s fourth marriage with Rabia, before that he had three marriages, all three were love marriages and divorced all three. The fourth marriage he has done is his other love marriage. The woman was his student. He fell in love with her. He proposed to her and they tied a knot of beautiful nikah.

Further, the reporter asks the woman about her age. The woman replies that she is 30 years old. The reporter questions: “ What is the reason behind marrying a man who is older than you?”. The woman says” I like him, just where the heart comes, there is nothing more than that”.

Conclusion

It is clear from Dfrac’s Fact-Check that the claim of viral video on social media platforms is misleading as media reports suggested that the woman Rabia has married her teacher, not her father. In the viral video, she herself says that she is the second child of her father. Hence the claim of social media users is completely false.
