Recently, after his official US tour, PM Modi also visited Egypt for a two-day tour. Meanwhile, claims are being made on social media that Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi gifted a statue of Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to PM Modi and has decided to change Cairo’s name to “Kejro” soon.
CA Rajkumar Dohre (@rajca27) shared an image of Kejriwal’s statue resembling Cleopatra’s statue and wrote on Twitter, “Kejriwal’s influence in Egypt. Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has gifted Kejriwalji’s statue to Narendra Modi. It is noteworthy that the Egyptian government is very impressed with Kejriwal’s work and has also decided to change the name of the capital Cairo to “Kejro” very soon.”

Fact Check:
To know the reality of viral claims, the DFRAC team did some keyword searches on Google. During this, we found several media reports about PM Modi’s tour of Egypt.
According to the Navbharat Times report, PM Modi met with Egypt’s President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi. He was honored with Egypt’s highest honor ‘Order of the Nile’ and before that, Modi also visited the historic and Dawoodi Bohra community’s Al-Hakim mosque of the 11th century.

However, the DFRAC team did not find any evidence in other media that Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi gifted a statue of Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to PM Modi and has decided to change Cairo’s name to “Kejro.”
Conclusion:
It is clear from DFRAC’s fact-check that the claim made by social media users that President al-Sisi gifted a statue of Kejriwal to PM Modi and has decided to change Cairo’s name to “Kejro” is fake news, thus the claims are false.
