Fact Check:
DFRAC team searched Google to verify the claim of social media users. We found several media reports regarding the dispute between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. Nowhere in these media reports has it been written that Virat Kohli raised slogans of Rahul Gandhi Zindabad.
According to them, the dispute was about sports. It has been said in the BBC report that Virat Kohli’s argument was first with Gautam Gambhir, then after that with Naveen-ul-Haq. IPL has deducted 100% match fees of Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli for violating the rules after this controversy, while 50% match fees of Naveen-ul-Haq have been deducted.
Apart from this, in other media reports including Aaj Tak, the reason behind the dispute is said to be about the heat during the match. Some media reports also suggest that the controversy started after LSG defeated RCB in a thrilling match played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 10 April. After the match, a photo of Gautam Gambhir holding a finger over his mouth went viral, with users claiming that Gambhir had instructed RCB supporters to keep quiet after the win.

Conclusion:
DFRAC’s fact check confirms that the viral claim is false because Virat Kohli did not raise any political slogan.
