Sharing this video, a verified user named Ambuj Bhardwaj captioned: “ Muslim Jihadis attacked a Kali Mandir situated at Nilambazar under South Karimganj LAC of Karimganj Dist of Assam. Tension continues in the area.”

Fact Check:
To fact-check the viral video, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google. We found several media reports in this regard. https://www.pratidintime.com published a report with the headline – “Clash Breaks Out in Karimganj Over Tube Well Installation”.
The report said that there was a dispute over the installation of tube wells between two groups in Karimganj. This installation was being done on the way to the temple in the Neelambazar area of Karimganj.

Karimganj Superintendent of Police Padmanabha Barua said in this report, “There was a clash between two parties over the installation of a tube well. However, our team has brought the situation under control. There were no human injuries, but we picked up one person who was involved in installing the tubewell in that area. No FIR has been registered in the case so far.”
