Fact Check:
To investigate the claim DFRAC team did a reverse image search and found a claim made by a verified user named Sunil Deodhar which was of the date 25th of April 2022.
On further verifying we found many extreme Hindu and Muslim groups tweeting on the same. While going through the tweets we found that the video is of the Nellore area of Andhra Pradesh and the incident took place during Hanuman Shobha Yatra took place in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh on April 24, 2022.
After this, with the help of certain keywords, we found reports on many media houses like The Hindu, and India Today which was of the date 24th April 2022, and is of Nerolle Andhra Pradesh.
Conclusion:
With the investigation, it is clear that the video being shared is one year old and is of Andhra Pradesh and not Maharashtra as claimed by Pt. Shrikant Upadhyay. Hence the claim is misleading.
