An image of Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo giving an interview to a woman wearing a Hijab at an event in Dubai is circulating with a claim that the footballer said he loves Islam.
The image is shared on Facebook and captioned, “This Muslim woman from Saudi Arabia asked a question to Cristiano Ronaldo. What do you love the most, Ronaldo said I love Islam” (English Translation)

Fact Check:

To investigate the viral Image DFRAC team did a reverse image search and found We also found Ronaldo speaking in the event uploaded on YouTube by Emirates Live. Wherein a Q&A he said that he loves Dubai, its culture, and its people, and nowhere mentioned Islam and his love for the religion.

on further investigation, the team found the same image posted by a fan page of Ronaldo named CristianoXtra.

The tweet quotes Ronaldo as saying, “I thank all my fans, and I did not expect such a large number of attendees, and I love Dubai, its culture and its people, and I visit Dubai every year, and I am very happy to be here.”
