Meanwhile, many types of misleading and fake news are going viral on social media. Many social media users are calling the affected people of Haldwani Rohingya and Bangladeshi.

DFRAC conducted a simple search on Google to analyze the affected families described as Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Haldwani. We found a report from Dainik Jagran. “The police have received inputs that some Rohingya Muslims have infiltrated the district. They are looking for their land in areas with special religions. However, the police do not have any concrete evidence of their arrival yet. But the police do not want to take the case related to Rohingya Muslims lightly. Police officials have set up an investigation into Rohingya Muslims. All COs of the districts have been asked to get the verification of people belonging to a particular community in their respective areas. If the input related to Rohingyas is found correct, the police will take the next step against them. ”
At the same time, there are many reports about the infiltration of Rohingya-Bangladeshis, but the situation is not clear about their exact number, location, and area. At the same time, we found a report in the “Navbharat Times” to search for Rohingya refugees. According to this report- “In the year 2017, the central government had said that about 40 thousand illegal Rohingya infiltrators are living in the country. It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that there is no concrete evidence of Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators staying in Haldwani. Police investigation in this regard is underway. Apart from this, the claim of infiltration of 50 thousand Rohingya refugees in Haldwani is also wrong.
