A video is getting viral on social media claiming that pregnancy can be determined by mixing urine and salt together. The video states that, if the urine starts turning milky and cheesy, then the result is positive, and if there is no change, then the woman is not pregnant.
Fact Check:
To first investigate the claim DFRAC team found two methods that are used to check pregnancy one is a blood test the other is a Urine test to find Beta HCG {Human Tropic Gonadotropin}, also known as Pregnancy Hormone.
On further investigating the claim DFRAC team found no evidence claiming that the elements present in a person’s urine react with salt to indicate pregnancy. Also, the team could not find any published studies supporting this claim.
Conclusion:
There is no scientific reason behind this, so this claim is false. A person shall use pregnancy kits or consult doctors to be sure.
