A claim is made about Rajasthan on social media. Users are claiming that the Rajasthan government has announced the form of 6 new districts. The names of these 6 new districts are (1) Beawar (2) Kotputli (3) Didwana (4) Balotra (5) Bhiwadi and (6) Phalodi. Users are posting fiercely this claim on all social media sites including Facebook and Twitter.

Fact Check:

To know the reality the team of  DFRAC team did a simple search on Google regarding the creation of 6 new districts in Rajasthan. We found a tweet posted on DIPR Rajasthan Fact Check (@Diprfactcheck), a fact-checking Twitter account of the ‘Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Rajasthan’.

In this tweet, the viral news has been stated as fake and the caption has been given- “News circulated on social media, 6 new districts have been declared in Rajasthan. Completely baseless and factless. This is fake news. @ashokgehlot51 @AshokChandnaINC @RajCMO #FactCheck”

Conclusion:

It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the claim of social media users that 6 new districts have been declared in Rajasthan is wrong. This has been denied by the State Government.
