Various types of claims are made by users about PM Modi on social media sites. One of these claims is that pm Modi’s food cost in a day is 41 thousand five hundred 79 rupees.

A user named Mohammad Qadir tweeted a graphical image with the caption, “I am fakir brothers and sisters. The cost of food for @narendramodi Ji is only 41 thousand five hundred 79 rupees. Would you like to be such a fakir#Congress #Boycott_UCC #ModiDisasterForIndia?”

“The RTI states that the cost of Modi Ji’s one-day meal is rs 41,579. ”

Fact Check:

To check the fact of the viral claim, the DFRAC team did a simple search on Google with the help of some special keywords. As a result, we found several reports published by different media houses.

Under the headline, “Government money is not spent on PM Modi’s food, Prime Minister himself bears the expenses of his food”, the report published by Dainik Jagran states that according to the RTI reply, government money is not spent on PM Modi’s food.

Similarly, the report published by Navbharat Times also states that in response to the RTI, the official said that PM Modi himself bears the expenses of his food. That is, the government does not spend any money on their food. ”

According to the report published by Dainik Bhaskar, Modi pays the kitchen bill on his Residence 7 racecourse himself, because he considers it a personal expense. This reply was also given through an RTI.

Conclusion:

It is clear from this fact check of DFRAC that the claim of PM Modi’s food expenditure in a day through RTI is only Rs 41,579 is misleading and fake because the Prime Minister himself bears the expenses of his kitchen.
