A post is getting viral on social media with the claim that Students Laptop Scheme 2022/23 is now available. This is valid in all countries. Students and girl students with weak economic condition can apply in this scheme. In 2020, 20,000 students have got laptops. Free laptops will be given to over 600,000 students in 2022. Along with this a link is also given below it.
A Facebook page called “Demand and Supply” shared the post.
Fact Check:
DFRAC team searched on Google with related keywords regarding the free laptop scheme issued for the students of different countries. We could not find any reliable news related to such scheme on any government website or in any main stream media.
The team have time and again warned its viewers to not to click to any such link as it can be a threat to the user’s personal information like id, phone number etc.
Conclusion:
DFRAC team found the post claiming free laptops to students to be fake.
