To investigate the viral image, we reverse-searched it. We found this picture on the Facebook page of World of Kolkata, uploaded on 21 May 2017.
‘Martyrs Day’ was observed today in West Bengal to commemorate the brutal killing of 13 innocent political workers by the police on 21st July 1993, reads the caption.
On further investigation we found the reports of different media houses stating the same.
Conclusion
With the DFRAC’s investigation it is clear that the viral image is five-year-old from West Bengal is being shared as Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Italia’s grand roadshow in Gujarat.
