Fact Check: A Morphed picture regarding fighting Islamophobia is going viral on the internet.

The cold-blooded Shraddha Murder case has shocked the whole nation. Following the incident, social media sites are flooded with heated debates and discussions on the same topics. Meanwhile, a picture is going viral on the internet in which a woman is holding a placard.  The text on the placard is, “Stop dying when Aftab cuts you in 35 pieces. Fight Islamophobia!”

Along with the picture, a social media user, Princess Woke Liberal wrote “Stop #Islamophobia #ShraddhaWalkar.”

This picture got viral with 242 retweets and 735 likes till date.

Fact Check

On reverse image search, the DFRAC team found the same picture in a report in The Times Of India.
The report was of August 24, 2016, with the headline, “Triple talaq violates Article 21, woman tells SC.”

In the original picture the text written is “STOP DIVORCE BY SKYPE, FACEBOOK”


Conclusion

 Therefore, from the DFRAC fact check it is clear the viral picture is morphed.
