A video is getting viral on social media in which two women wearing Hijab can be seen surrounded by large crowd. The people in the video are trying to remove the hijab of the two ladies as they have been caught stealing some items from the shop.
All the social media users are sharing the video with aggression and hate.
A woman on twitter writes, “Burqa / Hijab clad women caught red handed in Telangana Freedom of choice is Freedom to cheat / Rob.”
Many other users shared the same video with different captions.

To investigate on the viral claim DFRAC Team did an advance search on google using certain keywords and found the same video on a you tube channel of Kota Teja Naidu uploaded 5 yeras ago with the caption, “Lady Muslim thieves looting from shops by hiding things under Burka.”

In the description it was mentioned, “It happened in some where in Telugu speaking state, mostly Telangana .where two ladies were caught red handedly stealing things in super markets.and playing the victim card at the end.”
Conclusion:
Though the video is true but is 5 years old and not from the recent times.
