To analyze the reality behind of Anupam Kher’s video, the team of DFRAC searched for some specific keywords. We found tweets from many journalists and leaders. Bahujan Samaj Party national connector Akash Anand shared a picture with the caption- “Anupam Kher Ji, it was nice that you liked this expressway, liked its strength, the only mistake was tagging Gadkari Ji. This Agra-Noida Expressway was built during the tenure of respected @mayawati ji. There were strong intentions at that time that’s why strong roads were built, that’s all I have to say. ” ( English Translation)

After doing Google search about the Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway it was revealed that the announcement to build the Yamuna Expressway was made by the UP government in 2001. But the work of building the expressway started in 2007 during chief miniter Mayawati’s tenure. However, the government in UP had changed before it was inaugurated. Aftermath this expressway was inaugurated by CM Akhilesh Yadav on August 9, 2012.

It is clear from the verification of DFRAC that the Yamuna Expressway was not built during the tenure of the present Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Therefore, the claim made by Anupam Kher is misleading.
