Fact Check:

To investigate the viral claim DFRAC desk used the specific keyword to search this episode of the show Satyamev Jayate and found a 19-minute episode on the official YouTube channel.

Around 2 minutes into the video, Kamla can be heard talking about the festivals that can be, but listening to the entire video one can tell that the people on the show were not mocking or insulting Hindu Festivals but was talking on women empowerment and equality in general.

Even the description under the video states, “A cross-section of men are asked whether they beat their wives, and why. Why do men believe that it is their birthright to assault women? Some light on the question is shed by Kamla Bhasin, an advisor at Sangat, the South Asian Network of Gender Activists and Trainers, and has been working.”

Conclusion:

There was no communal angle in the entire show, In fact, it was about the position of women generally in Indian society and the patriarchy that follows.
