Amid the rise of terror activities in J & K, a claim is doing rounds on social media platform X(formerly Twitter) asserting that 3 Indian soldiers have been killed and their vehicle destroyed in an IED blast in Bandipora. Numerous Pak-based handles have shared this claim including a Bangladeshi handle.
A Bangladeshi handle named Faryal Sikder posted a collage on X and wrote: “Occupied Jammu and Kashmir: 3 Indian soldiers were killed and their vehicle destroyed in an IED blast in Bandipora” (Translated from Bengali)

Fact-Check
The DFRAC team investigated the viral claim and found that no such news has been reported yet.
We conducted a google keyword search in this regard and discovered that no reports have been published in support of the above claim. On the contrary, a tweet by (ChinarcorpsIA) dated Nov 1, 2024, stated: ” On 01 Nov 2024 late evening, suspicious movement was spotted, in gen area Panar of Bandipora, by alert troops. On being challenged, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire and escaped into the jungle.
Moreover, multiple media outlets such as The Economic Times, ANI & Hindustan Times reported news an encounter occurred between security forces and terrorists in Bandipora, Jammu, and Kashmir. The terrorists opened fire and escaped into the jungle. A search operation is currently ongoing.
Furthermore, as per latest reports, (Rising Kashmir, India Today and Business Standard), two terrorists were killed by security forces during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, Nov 2

It is clear from DFRAC’s fact check that the viral claim of the death of 3 Indian soldiers is completely fake. since there are no reports available in this regard.
