Does Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's dance video belong to the wedding of Mukesh Ambani's son?
A viral video on social media shows lyricist Javed Akhtar and his wife Shabana Azmi dancing along with Javed Jaffrey and Urmila Matondkar. Sharing this video, a user claimed that these film stars had danced in front of Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilia during his son’s wedding.

The DFRAC team fact-checked the above viral video. We found that several social media users shared the video, including RJ Saima on Dec 2018. The caption given by RJ Saima read: “Javed Akhtar, Javed Jaffery, Urmila Matondkar, Shabana Azmi dancing binds”
Upon investigating further, our team found a tweet of Shabana Azmi (@AzmiShabana) dated Dec 11, 2018, stating: “There is a video clip doing the circles claiming that @Javedakhtarjadu dancing with @UrmilaMatondkar and me is from Ambani celebrations in Udaipur Fact is it is at our house Sukoon in Khandala at Shahana Chinmayas wedding”
Conclusion
It is evident from #DFRAC’s fact check that the video showing lyricist Javed Akhtar and his wife Shabana Azmi was from Shahana Chinmay’s wedding that took place in 2018, not from the wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son.
