Fact Check

DFRAC team investigated the viral claim. On investigation, DFRAC found that the man had not said that he was going to cut off his head. In this video, the man can be heard saying “You’re an Israel Supporter? Yeah, Well on the holy Quran I would actually smack you across the head” It means to beat someone severely.

Furthermore, we also found the similar video on X handle of Oli London tweeted on 27 Nov 2023 showing  similar things.

Antisemitic Muslim man abuses people on the London Underground tonight hurling abuse at those who attended the Campaign Against Antisemitism march.

“You’re an Israel supporter…I will actually smack you…look at this clown right here.”

Conclusion

It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral claim of man threatening to cut off the head, according to the Quran is False. In the video, the man has not used the words- ‘cutting off the head’. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.
