Fact-Check

The DFRAC team found that the Deepika Padukone’s digitally altered images have been misleadingly shared with a false claim. During our investigation, we discovered that both images of the above collage are not of Deepika Padukone.

The first image in black attire was found on a Facebook page named Doctors Hospital of Laredo that was posted on January 4, 2022 and mentioned that the hospital welcomed newborn Cindy Chavez on the new year of 2022.

In addition, the second one was posted on a website on Sept 1, 2016, with the caption: Mom holding daughter after giving birth to her”
