A deadly terrorist attack in Reasi has shocked the country with Indian Pilgrims being Killed and Injured.
Amidst this, a Pakistan-based account named Psywar Bureau shared a video with a claim about the Indian Army’s involvement in the attack. The video shows a Jeep following the Bus, which was attacked later.
The tweet read, “
- Shocking new camera footage has surfaced, revealing that the recent Reasi attack was an inside job orchestrated by the Indian Army.
- The footage shows an Indian Army vehicle closely following a bus filled with Hindu pilgrims.
- Upon reaching the location of the incident, the army vehicle overtakes the bus, and Indian Army soldiers open fire on it.
- This revelation suggests that the attack was carried out to blame Pakistan and facilitate the genocide of Kashmiri Muslims.”
Fact Check
On our investigations, the claim turned out as fake and baseless. Firstly, we reverse-searched the video and found the same clip shared by Asia Net News. In the video, the caption read, “ Reasi terror attack: CCTV footage shows jeep closely trailing behind pilgrims bus before attack”
It has nowhere mentioned that the trailing jeep in the video belonged to the Indian Army.
Furthermore, according to media reports, the Pakistan-backed Resistance Front, an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.
Conclusion
Thus, from the Fact Check, it is clear that the viral claim is Fake and Baseless. Pak-backed TRF terrorist group claims responsibility for the attack. Hence the claim of the Indian Army’s involvement stands as Fake.
