Did CM Yogi says that Muslims have the first right on the country's resources?

A video of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has been shared on social media. In this, CM Yogi can be heard saying that- You want to divide the country in the name of Muslims and non-Muslims, you want to divide it in the name of minority and majority. Muslims have the first right on the resources of the country.

Users are sharing the video and writing that after seeing the huge defeat in Uttar Pradesh, the tune has changed.

A user has uploaded the same video on YouTube and written in the caption, ‘Those who had gone to drive away the Muslims, but now.’

Fact-check:

To find out the truth of the viral video, the DFRAC team first converted it into some key frames. Then did a reverse image search on them. During this, we found a similar video posted by news agency ANI on X on 23 April 2024.

In this, at 3:15 minutes, Chief Minister Yogi is saying that when Dr. Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. On whose instructions did he say that Muslims have the first right on the resources of the country. Do you want to divide the country in the name of Muslims and non-Muslims, in the name of minorities and majorities?

At the same time, CM Yogi’s statement was found in one of the Rajasthan Patrika’s  shorts video on YouTube, in which CM Yogi targeted Congress and said, ‘You want to divide the country’

Apart from this, the same video has also been uploaded on a YouTube channel named IndiaMIX.

conclusion:

It is clear from this fact check from DFRAC that the video of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is incomplete and edited, hence the claim of social media users is misleading .
