A video showing a scene of firing performed by some army soldiers has recently surfaced on social media site X.  Several users have shared this video with captions such as the weather is changing and the Indo-Pak border may activate any time

An account with the username @FrontalForce which holds more than 1 lakh followers, has shared this video and claimed: “The weather is changing quickly…Indo-Pak border may activate any time”

Additionally, the video was shared by many users on X making similar claims.

Fact-Check

Upon reverse-searching the keyframes from the viral video, the DFRAC team found a similar video on YouTube that was posted three years back with the caption: “Indian Army soldier firing 84mm Carl Gustaf Rocket launcher on Pakistani posts along LOC”

Moreover, the video’s description read: “Indian Army’s Sikh Infantry destroying bunkers & strongholds in a massive attack with Carl Gustaf 84mm RL at LOC”

In addition to that, we conducted a keyword search regarding the claim made through the video but we found that no such reports had been published corroborating the claim.

Conclusion

It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral video has been misleadingly shared on X. Originally, the video dates back to 2021, not the recent one.
