Further, it was mentioned in the blog that the Government of India is organizing numerous schemes for the employment of poor families and their women. The Free Sewing Machine Scheme is one of them which has been started for women of poor families. It is also claimed that this scheme has been implemented only in the state of Haryana by the Haryana Government. However, the Central Government will soon implement this scheme in the remaining states of the country.

Fact-Check

To investigate the claim of the Free Sewing Machine Scheme, the DFRAC team conducted a keyword search and found that the scheme is from the year 2022.

Upon further investigation, we found that no announcement has been made by the Central government regarding the PM-free sewing machine scheme 2023 and PM-free sewing machine scheme 2024.

Furthermore, PIB (Press Information Bureau) also mentioned: “The central government is not running any such scheme. This is an attempt to scam, please be careful.
