Fact-Check
To determine the authenticity of the viral news, the DFRAC team searched some keywords in the context of the above viral news. Meanwhile, we found a video on the official YouTube channel of ‘ABP Live’ with the caption: “Encroachment removed from the near temple and tomb, MCD took action” (Translated to English).
Media reports from TOI and TV9Bharatvarsh
According to a media report published by the Newspaper website “Times of India”, Parts of two religious structures on Rani Jhansi Road, which were allegedly encroaching upon the road and causing problems to the flow of traffic, were demolished by authorities. Bulldozers were deployed to demolish the “illegal structures”.
Another media report by TV9 Bharatvarsh also stated that MCD officials and employees have done the work of removing encroachment from near the temple and mosque. MCD is taking action against encroachment in Delhi.
