Media Reports from the Guardian And Reuters
According to a media report recently published by The Guardian, Tens of thousands of people have gathered across Spain to protest against the acting government’s plans to secure another term in office by offering an amnesty to those who took part in the illegal and failed Push for Catalan independence six years ago.
The proposed amnesty law, which would apply to hundreds of people who participated in the unilateral effort to secede from Spain, has already led to a series of violent events outside the Madrid headquarters of the governing Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE).
Following this, the News Agency Reuters also reported similar facts stating that protests were held across Spain on Sunday against acting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s plans to grant amnesty to Catalan separatists in exchange for support for another term in office.
Conclusion
DFRAC’s Fact-Check proves that the viral video claiming the Pro-Palestinian rally organized in Spain is misleading since it was related to protests against the Catalan amnesty Law. It has nothing to do ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
