To verify the claims of the above viral video, the Dfrac team converted it into some keyframes and then reverse-searched it on Google. We found this video on Akshay Kumar’s Twitter official account which was posted on January 5, 2017 with the caption: “The Bangalore incident makes me feel we r evolving backwards,from humans to animals,rather beasts coz even animals are better!Truly shameful”. The video’s duration was 2:20 minutes.
Whereas the video uploaded by other Twitter accounts is 1:07 minutes long. Not only this but in the viral video, we can also hear Akshay Kumar mentioning Bengaluru at 0:38 seconds, indicating that he is expressing his grief at the Bengaluru incident, not at the Manipur incident.
In addition to that, we found news published by a news website ‘News Nation’ with the headline: Akshay Kumar said on the Bengaluru molestation case, ‘Blood boils, ashamed, Being human”. In this news, News Nation revealed: “Akshay Kumar got furious over the molestation incident in Bangalore. He posted a video venting his anger on social media. Akshay said that after seeing this incident, he is ashamed of being a human being”.

A girl was molested by some ruffians while going home during the 2017 New Year celebrations in Bengaluru. As she tried to save herself from ruffians, they pushed her on the road and escaped on a scooter. The incident had triggered strong reactions across the country.
