Arvind Kejriwal will resign from the post of CM in support of wrestlers

A post is becoming rampantly viral on social media. The post claims that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may resign from his post in support of the wrestlers. A photo of Arvind Kejriwal along with the wrestlers at the protest site has also been posted in this post.

On Twitter, a user named Mission 2023 posted, “Breaking… Kejriwal will resign from the post of CM of Delhi in support of wrestlers. Even then, if the government does not agree, then they can even leave the country. #BREAKING #AAP” (English Translation). The post has garnered over 14,000 likes, over 3000 retweets and over 6,62,000 views.

Fact Check:

To fact-check the viral claim, the DFRAC team first searched specific keywords on Google but they could not find any news published by any media organization regarding Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation as Delhi CM in support of wrestlers.

After this, our team investigated the official Twitter handle of Aam Aadmi Party @AamAadmiParty and the official Twitter handle of Arvind Kejriwal @ArvindKejriwal. We did not find any announcement or declaration regarding this context as well.

Conclusion:

DFRAC confirms that the viral claim is false since Arvind Kejriwal has not announced his resignation from the post of CM of Delhi in support of wrestlers.
