A video is being shared on social media where it can be seen that a hut is being demolished with a bulldozer and a woman along with her family is struggling to save the hut. By sharing this video, users are targeting the BJP government of UP and claiming that this action of bulldozers is happening in UP.

Sharing this video, a user named Vijay Singh Yadav wrote – “Anti-poor BJP government. This is JCB, sir… Today it is not recognizing the poor’s house, in the coming time it will not recognize your house as well. @yadavakhilesh @proframgopalya1” (English translation)

Source: Twitter

A user named Vijay Singh Yadav has put a photo with Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav in his profile and cover photo. On the other hand, according to the information given in his bio, he is the District President of Samajwadi Party Lohia Vahini, Kanpur.

Fact Check:

To fact-check the viral video, the DFRAC team first converted the video into several frames, then reverse-searched it. We found this video uploaded on 18 November 2021 on Twitter by journalist Dr. Ashok Sharma of ‘Aaj Tak’ news channel.

Source: Twitter

In this video, Ashok has informed that in the Baytu area of Barmer, Rajasthan, an attempt was made to force a JCB machine on a woman and she was also assaulted.

Simultaneously, we also received several media reports, which are dated 18 November 2021. It has also been told in these reports that an attempt was made to bulldoze a woman in Barmer’s Baytu.

Conclusion:

It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the viral video is not from Uttar Pradesh but from Baytu in Barmer, Rajasthan. That’s why the claim of social media user Vijay Singh Yadav is wrong.
