Fact Check: Fake news on Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam over a tweet from Nirav Modi’s parody account

From print media to electronic media, the big news is going on on Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam. It was claimed that Babar Azam had an objectionable chat with the girlfriend of a fellow player.

While publishing this news, Punjab Kesari wrote that the biggest hand in making this video viral is that of well-known fraud industrialist Nirav Modi. He has shared the post through his Twitter and has told what K Babar has said during this video chat. In fact, due to the viral video, Babar has been accused of having an objectionable chat with a cricketer’s girlfriend.

Fact Check:

In further investigation, we found that this account of Nirav Modi is a parody account. Which operates from Lahore, Pakistan. He also tweeted that he has deleted his tweet. This story is baseless.

After this tweet came out, many media houses withdrew their news quoting the viral tweet and told that it is fake news.
