Fact check:
To analyze the originality of the viral picture DFRAC did a reverse image of a beef biryani masala packet. The team found the same photo on www.nfoodsstore.com’s website. In this photo, the name of the company making beef biryani spice is written as “National”. The spice product going viral on this website can be seen.
Comparing both pictures, it is clear that this photo is edited. The national brand has been replaced by Ramdev, while the logo of Ramdev’s company Patanjali has also been edited and added.
At the same time, DFRACwent to Patanjali’s website and searched for products related to beef biryani masala. The team did not find any information in this context.
After this, we clicked on the website About Us to know more about www.nfoodsstore.com. We found that the company was not from India but from Pakistan, which was registered in 1970.
Conclusion:
It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that Baba Ramdev’s company Patanjali does not make beef biryani masala. Users who shared this picture on social media are edited or photoshopped.
