A collage was shared on social media. This collage of 4 pictures is of women journalists Anjana Om Kashyap, Chitra Tripathi, Rubika Liaquat, and Shweta Singh, who work as TV anchors. In this picture, it can be seen that all the anchors are wearing BJP’s patka( a piece of loin cloth).
By glancing at this picture, it seems that these anchors have joined the BJP. A user named DN Yadav wrote – “Disgrace in the name of media”
Fact check:
To analyze the viral collage, DFRAC first checked the social media accounts of these female anchors. The team did not find any information regarding joining BJP on his social media accounts.
Afterward, the DFRAC team checked all the social media accounts of BJP. In fact, if the BJP joins the party to anyone, then the photo is put on social media for it. During the search, we did not find any photo or information on BJP’s social media accounts regarding Anjana, Chitra, Rubika, and Shweta Singh joining BJP.
Then we searched for some keywords on Google. Here too, there was no information regarding the recent joining of any journalist or anchor in the BJP.
Conclusion:
It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the news of Anjana Om Kashyap, Chitra Tripathi, Rubika Liaquat and Shweta Singh joining the BJP is fake.
