Edited picture of Bhathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal surfacing the social media- Read the fact check

A Photo of Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who is currently MP from Bhathinda is going viral on the internet. In the viral picture, she is holding high a placard on which, ‘we are with BJP is written.’ Further, social media users are sharing this picture with a lot of mocking comments.

Meanwhile, along with the picture a Facebook page named, Punjabi community Alberta wrote in Punjabi which can be nearly translated into English, “Thank you Nanni Chanji for this information, by the way, every child of Punjab knows this, even today if any call recording of your family is taken out, 90% of the calls will be made to BJP. When he ruled for 25 years, Bandi Singh was never remembered and now after losing the seat, Bandi Singh is remembering more rights of Punjab. Badaliki why the nation doesn’t trust you even if you are truthful a million times now and get beaten up?

To know the reality of the viral claim we looked though the verified Twitter account of Harsimrat Kaur Badal.  We got the same picture posted by her, but with a very different thing on the placard. Moreover,  she gave the caption, “First outside the Parliament and later inside, once again raised the voice of his sect before the central government for the release of the captive Singhs. May Guru Sahib bless you and will continue to do your duty as a humble Sikh until victory is achieved.” With hashtag #BandiSinghRihaKaro.

Therefore, the viral image is doctored.
