A video is going viral on social media with the claim that the Yogi government has bulldozed the mosque of Maulana, who claimed the Hindu pilgrimage, not Badrinath but Badruddin Shah.
Claim: बद्रीनाथ को मजार बताने वाले मौलाना की मस्जिद अवैध निकली। बाबाजी ने JCB चलवा दिया।

Reality: The video is from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, where the government had installed 10 JCBs to clear the land worth crores that was grabbed by the land mafia.

Verification & Methodology: Taking the frame of the viral video and doing a reverse image search, it was found that it has been posted by Dr. Mahendra Singh, who is the Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Member of Legislative Council (MLC) on 26 July 2021. The statement attached to the post is “उन्नाव में भूमाफियाओं पर बड़ी कार्यवाही चला योगी का बुलडोजर। जलशक्ति सिंचाई विभाग द्वारा अतिक्रमण हटाओ अभियान के तहत भूमाफियाओं से मुक्त कराई जा रही 2.5 एकड़ जमीन नहर की जमीन पर किए गए अवैध निर्माण को हटाया जा रहा है। सुबह 7 बजे से चल रही कार्यवाही करोड़ों की जमीन हो रही खाली”
Translation:
“Yogi’s bulldozer took big action on land mafia in Unnao. 2.5 acres of land being freed from land mafia by Jalshakti Irrigation Department Illegal construction done on canal land is being removed. Proceedings going on since 7 am, land worth crores are getting vacant”

It has been mentioned in various news that “Yogi Sarkar’s bulldozer on land mafia, houses and shops were demolished, land worth crores was vacated”.
There was no mention of demolition of mosques in UP.
